India PPP Capacity Building Trust (I-CAP Trust)

The India PPP Capacity Building Trust (I-CAP Trust) was setup by IDFC Ltd. under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 and was registered on 10th October 2007 under the Registration Act, 1908 as Reg. No. 400 (2008-09). The initial Trustees of the trust were Mr. Anil Baijal, IAS (retd.) and Mr. Cherian Thomas. The trust was subsequently transferred to the IDFC Foundation in the year 2009. With the restructuring of the IDFC Group, the trusteeship of I-CAP was passed on to the Infrastructure Development Corporation (Karnataka) Limited (iDeCK) on 1st April 2017. Since the inception of the I-CAP Trust in 2007, it has been utilizing the expert resources of iDeCK in the conduct of its capacity building and research activities.

WHAT WE DO

Capacity Building and Training

We undertake various types of training and capacity building initiatives, including Training Needs Assessments; Rapid Baseline and Rapid Training Needs Assessments; Monitoring and Training Impact Measurement; Master Trainer Trainings etc.

Policy Advocacy and Advisory

We undertake  policy advocacy and policy advisory services, focusing on creating an enabling environment for infrastructure development. Our services are rooted in rigorous, evidence based policy research.

Institutional Strengthening

We provide a wide range of services in the realm of Institutional Strengthening and Governance, such as Institutional Performance Reviews; Institutional Assessments; Design of Institutional Strengthening Frameworks etc.

Research and Development

We undertake a wide range of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research, related to public policies in sectors such as governance, infrastructure development, urbanization etc.
